We are seeking the temporary use of around 200 or so feet of 2 x 4 or 2 x 6. We need to line the south side of the EYC dock to keep trailers from taking an unwanted swim! Please email back or call David Sauter at 920-217-5851 if you have some to spare. We will need them until August 7th.

The 104th Ephraim Regatta, already shortened to one day, was further shortened by thunderstorms to a single race. Larry Klick and Kurt Holmquist of Medicine Lake Yacht Club were first, followed by Jay Lott and David Sauter in second, Mike Faugust and Jennifer Faugust in third, Dierk Polzin and Don Polzin in fourth, and Jason Brown and Kirk Brown in fifth. The Regatta Welcome Party and the Bratfest both drew excellent crowds despite threatening weather. Thanks to all who helped organize and run the Ephraim Regatta. There will always be an Ephraim Regatta! For complete results see http://ephraimyc.wpengine.com/racing/ephraim-regatta

The EYC will host the Flying Scot North American Championship regatta August 1 through August 7. All regular EYC weekly activities (including ladies’ bridge, BUNCO, lessons, and series racing) are suspended during that week in order to allow our members and staff to focus on the NAC’s. Over seventy boats are already registered, making the NAC the biggest regatta the EYC has ever hosted. Scores of EYC members have already worked hundreds of volunteer hours to prepare for what promises to be an excellent event. Four parties are planned, beginning with the “Commodore’s Welcome Party” at Alexander’s at 6:00 PM on Sunday August 2. A silent auction will take place at the NAC party on Wednesday August 5 and a live auction of an original painting by Bob Bentley with an NAC theme will take place at the NAC party on Thursday August 6.
