Adult Sailing Lessons / Family Regatta

Adult EYC members: do you want to learn to sail (after all, you are a member of a yacht club)?  Or are you a lapsed sailor who needs a refresher course?  Need an excuse to get out on the water with your friends, away from house and spouse one night a week?  Now is your chance, but you have to sign up soon!

The EYC offers adult sailing lessons, every Thursday evening from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  You can sign up for four weeks ($120) or eight weeks ($240).  The lessons are taught by the EYC’s staff of experienced, certified professional instructors on safe, simple, stable Flying Scot sailboats.  The first lesson is Thursday, June 30.  Sign up deadline is noon, June 30.  To sign up, go to www.eyc.org/lessons.  If you need help signing up online, stop by the EYC and ask a staff member to help you through the online signup process using the EYC’s computer.

Remember, the EYC’s second annual Family Regatta will take place as part of the regular Flying Scot series races on Saturday, July 2.  Any Flying Scot carrying a parent and child, grandparent and grandchild, or siblings is eligible for Family Regatta prizes.  So, push, pull or drag a family member on board and race!  Drawing for EYC-owned boats is at 9:15 AM, skippers meeting 9:30 AM, first race 10:00 AM.  Up to three races will be sailed.  See the Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions at www.eyc.org/racing for more details.
