EYC Seasonal Closing

A big thank you to the volunteers who helped out the morning of Saturday, September 27th. Bill Andersen, Topher Andersen, Wally Waleffe, Tom Mulligan, Kirk Scattergood, Rob Moore, Kevin Kane, Rich Bierman, Kim Miller, Jack O’Rourke and Fred Lewis had a beautiful morning to assemble storage racks and to secure the boats and dollies for the winter. We also did some final cleaning and organizing of the dock. The work was finished by about 11:00am. A special thanks to Heather Andersen for the Apple Spice Donuts!

This work was the second phase of the Fall Cleanup. Phase one was completed on the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend. Thanks again to the 40 plus volunteers who spent their Saturday morning removing docks, storing gear and cleaning the docks and house! As we know, it’s volunteers that keep the EYC strong!

The final steps of winterizing the facilities will be completed over the next several weeks. The house will be winterized the weekend of October 4th. The shrink wrapping of boats and racks to be left at the facility will also be completed the weekend of October 4th. During the week of October 13th the lifts will be pulled from the water and stored on the dock. The removal of the motors on the two hoists will be completed shortly after that.

Thanks again to all the volunteers who have helped with the closure this year!
