Work at the EYC!

The EYC is now in the process of accepting applications for Senior and Junior Instructor positions for the Summer of 2015. If you wish to be considered, please submit a request, along with your resume, to Commodore Jack O’Rourke at In particular, list your sailing experience, what you will do to contribute to the sailing program and whether you are/intend to be US Sailing Level 1 or 2 certified. Level 1 is required for all Junior Instructors. The lesson program will run from June 15-August 21, 2015. Please state clearly the dates you will be available. All applications should be submitted by January 30, 2015.

Do you have a child interested in working at the EYC? Some things to consider: The EYC expects its Junior Instructors to be US Sailing Level 1 certified. Courses are generally offered late Spring at venues around the country. A component of that course is previous competency in power boat skills. Spring Break is a great opportunity to refresh or learn these skills. For those hoping to apply to work in 2016, the EYC will offer a course in Power Boat Skills in 2015. Additionally, any experience on a high school sailing team will be a great advantage in the application process.
