One week ’til Memorial Day Weekend

Volunteers needed to open EYC: Sat. May 28th 9:00AM sharp!

All EYC members are encouraged to come down to the club at 9:00am on Saturday, May 28th to help open the club.  We will be organizing and cleaning the clubhouse, docks and boats for the 2016 season.  We anticipate being finished by noon.  There are jobs for all ages and abilities.  Afterward, the EYC will fire up the grills for a complimentary picnic lunch.  Please come and join in the fun!  We need your help!

EYC Sailing Lessons:  Summer is almost here. It’s a great time to sign up for sailing classes …  for you and your children!

Women’s Sailing Class (July 18-22) will focus on Beginner and Intermediate skills. This would be the perfect way to brush up and prepare for the Women’s Regatta the following week. Enroll the kids in some of the great afternoon offerings in Session C and enjoy a week on the water yourself!

Laser Clinic (July 16 & 17) Do you have a Laser sailor in the family? Take advantage of Bobby Collins’ excellent coaching in this two day clinic. This clinic is open to adults and youth, age 12 and up, with basic sailing and racing experience. Students who are under 12, but are enrolled in the Intro to Lasers class may take this clinic. No membership is required for this clinic, so it would be perfect for visiting friends.

Adventure Sailing: This fun class features destination sails in Eagle Harbor. Open to ages 7-17 and all skill levels, it is designed for siblings, cousins and visiting friends who want to sail together. Think hybrid of lesson sessions and junior activities. Four one week sessions in June and July.

Do you have a more advanced Beginner student?  Opti Racing is open to any student who has skippered in an Opti race.  It is not necessary to have passed Beginners, and can be taken alone or at the same time as the Beginner class.

Please visit the Education page at www.eyc.org/lessons for more details on these classes, as well as registration links. Please contact Liz Gheorghita at [email protected] with questions.
