Request for Volunteers for Regatta weekend

We are in need of volunteers with a range of skills to help with Race Committee and safety boats on Saturday and Sunday, August 6 & 7th. Working on the Race Committee is a great way to support EYC’s tradition, as well as to watch the regatta action up close and meet other club members. Please sign up on the Signup Genius for any one of the many volunteer opportunities, requiring a range of durations and skills, but we especially are in need of the following on-the-water support:

  • — Pin and Gate Mark-Set Boat.  Need one to two more people to assist with setting marks for the starting line and the leeward gates.
  • — Judges Boat.  Need boat and driver to drive the judges around the race course to observe.
  • — Safety Boats.  Need boats and drivers to assist racers in the event of breakdowns or other weather-related conditions.

All Race Committee and safety boat volunteers will need to attend the race briefing on Friday, August 5th at 5:00 p.m. upstairs in the EYC clubhouse.  If you can help, please contact Nancy Claypool ([email protected]).
