Bridge Continues at EYC
The summer series of bridge lessons has completed, but bridge will continue on Thursday mornings from now until the Club closes at the end of September. All are welcome to attend on Thursdays, from 9:30 until Noon, whether you were in the lesson series or not. The Thursday format uses pre-dealt hands with lesson concepts reviewed, or if you prefer, you may group in fours and play in the usual Monday afternoon “open play” format.
Monday open play bridge continues from 1:00 until 3:30 with the same format of rotating partners every four hands.
The popular Tuesday couples group continues, with about 20 people playing each Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. Bring a partner and plan to join the group for dinner after (optional, but extra fun continues!).

Attention Flying Scot racers of all skill levels: Join us on Saturday, August 15 for an on-the-water coaching session, where we will pair skippers and crew of different skill levels to race around a W/L course in Eagle Harbor. It is a chance to get pointers or to give back and help coach others. You do not need to come with skipper, crew or boat, just your life jacket and personal gear. We would love to get more experienced sailors to join us and help give pointers to those with less experience. First warning signal at 10:00 AM. Also seeking a volunteer for safety boat. Any questions, please contact Jennifer Ikeda Faugust at ikedaj@hotmail.com

AARON R MOORE SCHOLARSHIP GALA UPDATE:  Thanks again to the Moore Family for their work on the amazing Gala on April 29th.  Together with associated donations, the 2015 Aaron R Moore Gala netted over $15,000 for EYC Scholarships.  These funds will pay for current scholarships, and will help build the endowment to pay for future scholarships.

The third annual Aaron R. Moore Sailing Scholarship Fundraiser was a huge success! EYC members, guests, friends, and supporters gathered at the Lake Forest Club in Lake Forest on April 25 for an evening of South Pacific inspired fun. Dressed in festive Hawaiian attire, partiers enjoyed an evening of South Pacific music and drumming, an amazing array of Polynesian food, Pina Coladas, Mai Tai’s and over 75 auction and raffle items to bid on. The evening was topped off by a 45 min. floor- show of authentically costumed dancers performing dances from Hawaii, Polynesia and Samoa. Guests were able to bid on over 75 silent auction and raffle items.

A VERY BIG THANK YOU to all who attended, all who bid on the silent auction, bought raffle tickets, all who helped and all who donated! This event would not have been possible without you!

Check out the EYC Facebook page for photos from this event.  Additionally, find out about the EYC staff this summer on Facebook!  See the link below to connect to Facebook.
