US Sailing, the governing body of sailboat racing in the U.S., announced that the EYC, Ephraim Yacht Club, has won the National One-Design Regatta Award for hosting the 2009 Flying Scot North American Championships. This is like winning a Gold Medal in the Olympics!
The National One-Design Regatta Award is awarded annually to recognize excellence in development, promotion, and management by organizers and sponsors of the year’s outstanding single-class or multi-class regional regatta.
The EYC will receive the award at US Sailing’s annual One-Design Symposium later this year.
Kudos, again, to all the members and staff of the EYC who helped run the NAC, and thanks again to our sponsors. Each of you is entitled to be very proud.
