OPTI Midwest Championship in Milwaukee – 2009

Friday, September 18th, 2009

Milwaukee Yacht Club is hosting the USODA (Optimists) Midwest Championship Regatta October 9-12.

MYC needs volunteers to help with this event.  They anticipate between 120 and 150 sailors will register for the event and will arrive accompanied by parents and coaches.  MYC needs volunteers to help with registration on Friday, October 9.  Saturday, Sunday and Monday volunteers will be serving breakfast and passing out lunch in the morning before the sailors go out on the water.  They also have a dinner planned on Saturday night.  Steve Dolan is organizing the Safety boats and can also use some help.  Other volunteer opportunities are available for as much or as little time you can spare.  High school age volunteers are most welcome.

If you can help out with this regatta please contact Pam at info@milwaukeeyc.com, Susan Becker at skoethe@mcw.edu or Ed Purcell at epurcell@ameritech.net .  This should be a very lively and fun event.
