Commodore’s 2021

Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, and helped make this year’s  Commodore’s Party at Hidden Acres Farm a night to remember!  

We are extremely grateful to Tom Rehberger and the Hidden Acres Farm crew for their  generous and gracious hospitality. We are especially appreciative of how well they  accommodated the Commodore’s Party planning committee to help make it a very  special evening for our EYC members.  

Thank you to our amazing crew who came early, stayed late and over performed. Our  ship would have stayed in the harbor without the special efforts of: Jenny Miller, Kim  Miller, Kathy Pentler, Glenn Pentler, Paul Pillat, Di Taillon, Kathi Whiteside, Sean Amick,  Janet Hart, Marsella Fults, Tim Fults, Mary Papenthien, Carol Fiedler, Marta Fonseca,  Vivi Sauter, Debbie Brightbill, Doug Hambleton, Bob Richter, Rob Treleven, and Maggie  Peterman. Our apologies if we have omitted someone’s name to this incredible list of  volunteers!  

Parking Lot/Golf Cart Driver: Thank you EYC staff for directing traffic and offering rides  to all who needed a lift. Laura Thérien, Jackson Graham, Henry Morof and Max Gifford!  

EYC Gear Saleswoman: Thank you Stephanie Richter for making the EYC gear  available one last time. Can’t wait to see what’s in in the store in 2022! Great job Geoff Werner!

Congratulations to Anna Taylor for winning this year’s Sportswoman of the Year!

Ephraim Historical Foundation for lending us three fabulous pop up tents!  Ephraim Fire Department for lending us their Ice Cooler!  Main Street Market for being the absolute best company to work with for all our  beverages!   FLS Banners in Sturgeon Bay for creating the most awesome street signs. Thank you  Cain for your company’s excellent customer service and Terry Goettelman for bringing  the signs to Fred and Co for easy pickup.  

An extra, extra special thank you to Laura O’Rourke for her steadfast leadership as  EYC’s Commodore during some unprecedented and challenging times.  

Hats off to Nancy Pillat and Jeanne Papenthien for the most wonderful Commodores Party!! They made Hidden Acres the perfect venue for us to enjoy.  Our thanks for a perfectly executed evening that brought together a large group to celebrate our Commodores old and new.

EYC/EYH Scavenger Hunt- Saturday, August 21st @6:00 p.m

  • Sign up, and pay ($10), at EYHEYCScavengerhunt ASAP. Before Saturday please!
  • Designated drivers, with vehicles that seat 5 or more, are needed. Please contact Kathy Pentler to volunteer (262) 893-5699
  • Start at EHF and finish at EYC. BYOB for after-party and awards.
  •  Meet at the Anderson Barn – 3060 Anderson Lane NO LATER THAN 6:00.  Rain or Shine!

Bunco and Bridge

The last Bunco of the season will be on Monday, August 23rd @ 7:00 p.m.  The Bridge season will continue through until the end of September.

Safe travels for all our EYC members! Let loose the bowlines and point your bows  towards fall. See you all on the dock next summer!
