Bridge, Bunco and Junior Activities Begin This Week

Bridge.  We have two sessions of bridge at the EYC.  We have open play bridge on Mondays at 1:00 p.m. and Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. We also have Couples bridge on Tuesdays at 4:30 p.m. After the Tuesday session, the group often has dinner together.  If you have questions please contact Suzanne Lisle  [email protected] or (847) 401-6632

BuncoBunco Nights at the  EYC start on Monday at 7:00 p.m.  It’s an incredibly easy game to learn – you’ll pick it up in just 3 minutes, guaranteed. Plus, you’ll have the chance to mingle with fellow members and forge new connections. We’ll provide some simple snacks and we’ll even take a short break to enjoy the beautiful sunset together.  Your participation in this event not only promises a great time but also supports EYC’s educational programs, making a positive impact on our community. Join us starting at 6:30 with play starting at 7:00 p.m.

Junior Activities.  Kid’s 7 and up can join us on Wednesday nights for EYC  Junior Activities (student or family membership required).  Our first event of the summer, drop-off and pick-up are at the Red Putter promptly 6:00 p.m.- 7:30 p.m.  The Junior Activity Committee is looking for volunteers to help.  To sign-up  use this LINK 

EYC Fyr Bal Festivities- Saturday, June 15th

The EYC will join the rest of Ephraim to celebrate upcoming summer solstice.  We kick it off the day with our much anticipated

Fyr Bal Pancake Breakfast-8:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.

The EYC hosts the annual pancake breakfast in the Village Hall. Start off the day with Pancakes and Marchant sausages.  Tickets:   Adults $15 and  12 and under $7. Fyr Bal Regatta/EYC Weekly Series — 9:00 a.m. Skippers Meeting, 10:00 a.m. Start

The Fyr Bal Regatta is open to all Flying Scot racers and is held in conjunction with regular Saturday morning series races.  Up to three races will be sailed. Trophies for 1st – 3rd are awarded at the conclusion of the races.  The EYC Series is open to all club members and a boat draw will be held for the use of club boats.  Please use click this link for the NOR and SI

Flying Scot Fleet 44 Meeting

The Flying Scot Fleet 44 meeting will commence immediately after the races on Saturday.  Calling all Flying Scot owners, Sailors, Racers and interested members. Come down to learn what’s new with Flying Scot sailing, plans for the summer, opportunities for racing and fun sailing this summer.  We’d love to see you and hear from you.  If you are unable to attend, but have suggestions or requests, contact Flying Scot Fleet Captain Nancy Claypool at [email protected]

New Members Happy Hour/Fyr Bal Family cookout

There is a change to the calendar. New Members Happy Hour Drinks on the dock (previously scheduled for Friday night)  will be on Saturday night at 5:00pm prior to the Fyr Ball Family Cookout. Meet other new members and then stay for the Fyr Ball Family Cookout.

EYC Men’s “Night”

Land Ho! Fore!  Men’s night on the dock has pivoted. Look forward the first annual EYC afternoon golf outing at Peninsula Golf Course on July 1st. There will be three foursomes for a scramble. Tee times are reserved for 1:00, 1:10, 1:20. Prizes awarded and drinks at the golf course bar immediately following. Availability is on a first come, first served basis. Opening Social

Thanks to everyone who came out on Saturday night!  We had a great night where we blessed the fleet, honored those that we lost in the last year including Bob Bentley, Guy Bush, Lou Kahn, Ron Litterest, Chuck Pearson, Bob Schaupp, and Bud Weaver. We then kicked off the Summer 2024 season.  A huge thank you to Barb Ziegler and Lisa Forsman for coordinating this event.
