This Week at the EYC – End of Season
Here is what is happening this week at EYC:
The EYC’s Flying Scot Fleet 44 will conduct a free INFORMAL RACING CLINIC on the morning of Saturday, August 16. We will set up a short practice race course and run a few practice starts and practice races. Some of the fleet’s more advanced racers will be available to coach and sail with the less experienced racers. All Flying Scot racers are encouraged to take part. EYC-owned Flying Scots will be available for use by qualified members. Report time 9:00 AM, first start 10:00 AM.
HOURS: On Saturday, August 16, the EYC will not be staffed, and the clubhouse will be closed after the Fleet 44 clinic ends. On Sunday, August 17, the EYC will be closed, although members will still be able to access their boats on the pier. Skippers interested in taking out a club boat can coordinate with the Sailing Director, Isak Peterson, by calling the clubhouse. Beginning August 18th, we will begin the process of storing the club boats, and derigging the fleet. Clubhouse access will be limited. Bridge will continue as scheduled.
Please join us for the Labor Day Clean up, Racing Awards, and closing of the clubhouse on Saturday, August 30th beginning at 9:00am. After we close up the clubhouse, we will award the Racing Series Awards for the 2014 season, and grill up hamburgers and hot dogs. No rsvp is necessary. Hope to see you there!!
